Well! When you first get your dreads if you don’t like the way they look, don’t worry, they take some time to mature and this all depends on hair types on how long it takes for them to look and feel nice! I personally made my as dry and messy as I could before starting on my dreads. (Which I only used shampoo, no conditioner, and didn’t brush my hair for a few days before I made the dreads). And when I got my dreads I didn’t wash my hair for a month, then after the month I only washed my hair once a week. Also, to help make them nicer, faster, spray sea salt in your hair! But do not ever use beeswax. I also use a crochet hook to maintain them, that’s if you want them to look neat. I hope I helped!
I looked up a bunch of tutorials on youtube, then done them myself.
Well, I love dreads so much and maybe one day I’ll have them back. But, there is just something in me telling me it’s time to let them go, maybe for awhile or maybe forever. I don’t know. I’ll always appreciate them and they will always be apart of me, but I just need my normal hair back..
Thank you lovely! I’ve seen so many people unfollow others for brushing out their dreads on here and instagram, so I figured the same would happen to me. Oh well!
Can’t wait to see how many people unfollow me when I brush my dreads out on Christmas. Lol.
